Carte blanche is extended to Renee Baker (violist, composer, conductor, visual artist) by the Bab-Ilo. She will direct the ensemble July 27th as it plays her 'graphic scores' as the 1926 film "A Page of Madness is projected. after the projection, a concert of the ensemble follows, of music "constructed with freedom", from multiple origins.

Carte blanche pour Renee Baker (altiste, compositrice, dirigeante, membre d'AACM) Le samedi 27 juillet, l'Ensemble Renée Baker jouera en direct avec le film muet "A Page of Madness" (1926, T. Kinugasa). Un concert suivra le film de musique "construite et libre", des sources multiples.

Homage to Roy Campbell

The great  trumpeter Roy Campbell,who played many types of music but is most known for his Avant-Garde work, left us on January 9, 2013. This video was extracted from a film of a concert of 2006 when he was asked to joined trio 'In the Moment' with Rasul, Jobic and myself.
